Parks and Horticulture Authority Sargodha was established vide notification No. SO(UD)1-31/2014 dated 16th April, 2014 by Housing Urban Development and Public Health Engineering Department, Government of the Punjab.
PHA Sargodha is working under PHA Act, 2012 and services regulations dully passed by Provincial Assembly and published in the Punjab, Gazette (Extraordinary), dated June 30, 2012.
The main agenda for establishing PHA in Sargodha was to make the city clean and green. The authority started implementing the agenda with its available potential and human resource. The authority rehabilitated/developed 16 parks in the city. Before its establishment, there was no concept of greenbelts in the city. The authority developed a number of greenbelts in different parts of the city. The process of developing parks and greenbelts in different areas of Sargodha City is still in progress.
